A fine catalog of Mackintosh on his retreat to France, along the Roussillon Coast, in 1932. Mackintosh had left Scotland and England with his wife Margaret, for what at first was meant to be a holiday, away from some considerable turmoils at work. But they stayed on, for four years, in exile from England and in love with painting and the French coast.
