A striking collection organized by W.E.B Du Bois for the 1900 Paris Exposition. The exhibit, a commentary on the progress and economic conditions of African Americans since the abolition of slavery, featured his own hand-drawn charts, maps and graphs along side photographs drawn from African American communities across the US - long before such "data visualization" was commonly used in social research.
